About the STRIVE Prep Tech Team:
The STRIVE Prep Tech Team leverages technology to amplify all staff and students’ ability to succeed, lead and transform, both in college and in their own communities. The Tech Team is comprised of a Network Engineer, IT Coordinators, SIS System Administrators, and an Education Technology Manager who support the following key functions:
  • Providing technology solutions based on data driven decisions in order to realize desired educational outcomes
  • Providing ongoing support based on industry standards
  • Regular evaluation and optimization of technology systems and processes, and
  • Deploying technology solutions and support based on education outcomes.
Our Aspiring IT Coordinator will:
Provide support to students and staff as they use technology to learn and instruct. IT Coordinators have primary responsibilities across two to four schools within one geographic region, but will also assist with supporting the network as a whole.  Excellent candidates will bring both a strong focus on end-user service and support with their technical experience and methodology.  The IT Coordinator is an entry-level position and reports directly to the Director of IT.
The ideal candidate:
  • Brings 1-2 years of formal experience providing technical support and training in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solves problems, gets results, and learns new systems quickly.
  • Utilizes Windows, Macintosh and Chromebook clients in a Windows Server and Google Apps environment (preferred).
  • Desires to support educational environments and has previous experience (preferred.)
  • Performs security assessments and remediation (optional).
  • Adapts and grows both technically and professionally in an evolving organization.
  • Has reliable transportation and ability to travel to support 11 schools across Southwest, Northwest, and Far Northeast Denver.
  • Satisfies physical requirements including frequent walking at campuses and moving computer equipment.
  Primary Responsibilities Performance Indicators may include:
Support Assist teachers and staff in implementing, managing, and supporting technology in the classroom to further the goal of improved student achievement
  • Tickets are responded to in a timely fashion and prioritized based on the impact of the incident or service request.
  • Incident response is focused on restoring the service first with workaround if needed.
  • End users are provided consistent communications on ticket status and next steps.
  • End user feedback on support is positive.
  • Knowledge sharing and improved team productivity occurs through documentation of incident solutions.
  • Positive customer-focused relationships are consistently demonstrated with teachers and staff members.
Stability Implement  hardware and software technologies through following project plans and/or instructions
  • Implementation best practices are applied to diverse technologies.  
  • Changes and requests are properly planned in advance to identify potential risks and to ensure all steps are captured and followed.
  • Controllable downtime is minimized and maintenance is scheduled and properly communicated.
  • Balance of taking ownership of technical work with wisdom of looping in peers.
  • Progress is tracked and documented throughout projects including communications to stakeholders and final technical documentation. 
  • Deadlines are met with a sense of urgency including project close-out.
Innovation Engage in the ongoing process of designing technology solutions that align with the strategic vision of the organization and campuses
  • Awareness and understanding of how to manage and support existing technology, as well as identify opportunities for new solutions and technologies.
  • Properly research existing solutions and implementations after the planning phase.
  • Project design uses best practices including resource (technical and personnel) planning, time estimation, project duration, budget restrictions, etc. (Best Practices as an IT Team).
  • Project design addresses business requirements and focuses on addressing key problems and goals.
